Himu\’s Attempt at Blogging

Tidbits from my thoughts

About Me

with 15 comments

As you’ve clicked that link, I can safely assume that you want to know a little bit about me.

Well, I’m just an ordinary guy from Bangladesh. My name is Muhammad Hedayet Hossain but friends call me ‘Himu’ (pronunciation: himû).

Currently, I work as a software engineer and Sr. Principal Officer at the IT Division of AB Bank Ltd. Before that, I was a software engineer at Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and have significantly contributed to their in-house banking solution.

Please don’t think of me as a Muslim extremist because Islam is NOT what the media wants you to believe! There are so many extremists in other cultures and extremists are never accepted by Islam – a religion of peace and humanity. The terrorism you see is done by some ignorant/brain-washed/selfish few who interpret the teachings of Islam and our Prophet in their own vile ways.

Enough said! This is not a blog about religious beliefs.

I’m lazy – I would waste hours working on figuring out an efficient solution to a task that can be done in minutes by brute force. I like blue, mango, RPG (Role Playing Game), early era of Uriah Heep, Star Wars, etc.

  4. Well, you need two things:
    1. Open a blogging account such as this. WordPress is good.
    2. Open an account with some online file storage service.

You can write articles in the blog. WordPress allows image files to be stored with their service. For other file types, use the online storage service. I use box.net

  5. Love the tutorial. Very helpful and fills in the gaps that the formal documentation left. I was wondering if you have ever used Tiles2? I love the look of an application using Tiles2.

  15. Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my apple ipad
and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can
be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed
and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I
had to share it with someone!

    how to chat
